The Pleiades (sometimes called the Seven Sisters) is a collection of bright stars that are in our Milky Way galaxy at a distance of 444 light years from earth.  The bluish color comes from the extremely luminous blue stars as well as from reflection off of a dust cloud that the stars are passing through.
This bright group of stars can be seen with the naked eye.
